My style philosophy, beyond fashion

I’ve worked as a freelance fashion stylist and a costumer and shopper in the film & TV industry for over 10 years. I’ve always had a love for fashion and expression through clothing but struggle with the modern way in which we consume it.

I’m the younger sister of two olympic ski racers and I grew up in the mountains of British Columbia. Growing up my mom cared deeply about the environment and our impact on it, she ran an organic food co-op out of our carport and gardened and sewed. My mom and grandma taught me to cherish natural fibres and good quality, functional pieces that can be worn for years.

I bring integrity and imagination to my work whether personal styling for a client and making sure we pick sustainable pieces for their wardrobe or styling a shoot and looking in vintage/thrift/consignment first.

Over the years I’ve been perfecting my sewing skills and bringing a holistic sustainable approach to my wardrobe that I want to share. Altering, mending or Upcycling your garments give them new life and is one small way of continuing to reduce waste.

Let’s work together.
